Tensions between the Hizbullah terror organization and the government of Lebanon have reached a new level as terrorists on Thursday blocked all routes to the Beirut Airport, the only international airport in Lebanon. As a result, the airport was closed off, with roadblocks set up using burning tires and others means around Beirut to prevent travelers from reaching the airport.

An announcement by the government earlier in the week that Hizbullah-run television would be banned contributed to the increase in hostilities.
