A woman in her 20s was arrested by police on Monday after she attacked an emergency room nurse and security guard at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

Police were summoned to the hospital by security personnel after the suspect, a patient’s wife, went wild in the emergency room, slapped a nurse and bit a security guard who came to calm the situation.

The hospital’s security office called police, who arrived immediately, taking the woman into custody. The nurse and security guard are going to file an official police complaint.

The hospital administration explains it will take all measures available under the law against people who attack the dedicated members of the staff, who faithfully carry out their work throughout the day.
