SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*The air force on Wednesday morning targeted terrorists in the Khan Yunis area of Gaza.

*IDF soldiers on Tuesday night arrested 7 suspects in ongoing counter-terror operations. Arrests made in Ramallah, Shechem, and Chevron.

*Border police arrested four Arab youths involved in a firebomb attack near Har Adar. No injuries.

*An Arab carrying a large knife was arrested in the Casba area of Chevron on Wednesday afternoon. No injuries.

*Mortar rockets were fired on Wednesday at soldiers near Ein HaShlosha in southern Israel. No injuries. Kassam rockets also fired into S. Israel during the day.

*Wednesday afternoon: IAF targeted terrorists in Gaza killing one Islamic Jihad terrorists and injuring at least six others.

*A woman was lightly injured in rock-throwing attacks near Jaljulya. She was transported to Sharon Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*The Haaretz daily has appealed for removal of gag order on PM investigation after facts in the case were published abroad. The appeal was turned down.

*Arabs in the Halhoul area, south of Gush Etzion, marched on Wednesday waving PLO flags.

*Fatah emerges the victor in Chevron University election, beating out Hamas.

*On Wednesday night at 20:00, Memorial Day ends and Israel’s 60th Independence Day begins.
