A 56-year-old woman was bitten by a viper snake on Wednesday morning in the Shomron. MDA Alex Romov explains that the woman was found in her yard, conscious and with fang marks on an extremity.
Romov explains they saw a caged snake in the yard, and the victim explained she cares for snakes and the one in the cage bit her. She was taken to a hospital by ambulance. By seeing the snake, it enabled Romov to positively report it was a viper, and this information was passed along to the emergency room towards facilitating treating her.
The woman’s condition at the time of transport was reported to be light.
