Police have moved to level III operational status, one level below a state of emergency. A closure is in place on Yehuda and Shomron, and security agencies will be out in force as the nation on Wednesday mourns its dead.

Wednesday night at 20:00, Memorial Day will end, marking the beginning of Israel’s 60th Yom HaAtzma’ut (Independence Day).

Security will remain high during the holiday weekend, and police are calling on all Israelis to exhibit vigilance and to call immediately regarding anything/anyone suspicious, reminding the public there are numerous credible terror warnings.

Last week, IDF chief of intelligence told cabinet members that terror organizations are planning to carry out major attacks over the holiday weekend.
