The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connection with drug sales in the Town of Thompson.
In recent weeks, neighbors have complained about drug activity on Lake Shore Drive East in the Lake Louise Marie subdivision of Rock Hill. The Sheriff’s Gang Intelligence Unit conducted surveillance in the area and identified the residence where the activity was centered.
At approximately 3:15 PM on Wednesday, a 2008 Subaru Legacy associated with the residence was stopped after it passed a stop sign on Wanasink Road. The deputy could smell the odor of marijuana as soon as the driver rolled down the window. Taken into custody were Christopher Egenes, 23, of Mountaindale and Tyree Bolden, 35, of Rock Hill.
Egenes , who was the driver, was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th degree and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Bolden was also charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th degree. Bolden was issued an appearance ticket while Egenes posted $200 bail.
Both men must appear July 29, at 5:00 PM in the Town of Thompson Justice Court.
