Tiveria Mayor Ron Kobi, who is the political nemesis of the chareidi tzibur, announced on Radio 102FM that beginning on Thursday night, August 8, 2019, he will host a nightly live broadcast on his Facebook page beginning at 9:00PM. Kobi formed the ‘Secular Right’ party and hopes to receive a sufficient number of votes to enter the 22nd Knesset and he will use his nightly broadcast to bring in additional support.

Kobi managed to register his party with the Central Election Committee just ahead of the deadline, and can indeed compete in the election, which is set for September 17, 2019.

Kobi made the news again this week, this time not against the chareidim, but for spending NIS 7,500 a month to rent a BMW, against Interior Ministry regulations, which set the maximum amount at NIS 5,000 monthly. Kobi explained his vehicle is being repaired and the BMW is temporary.
