In preparation for Tisha B’Av, when Am Yisrael commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Beis HaMikdash, the Kosel Heritage Foundation has prepared for the masses of thousands who will flock to the Kosel, some to read Eicha and be mispallel, some to cry, and others just to visit and experience the day – wishing to be near the holy site, close to the where the churban occurred.

At the end of the fast, on Sunday night, the foundation will be distributing food and beverage to those present. Preparations will continue late into the night, until 2:00AM, as the crowds led by rabbonim and admorim will arrive after the fast to recite Kiddush Levana.

Emergency forces including police and EMS will be on hand around-the-clock, and bus service to the Kosel will be significantly stepped-up to accommodate the many making their way to the holy site.
