City Councilman David G. Greenfield will join City Department of Sanitation Commissioner John Doherty and other neighborhood elected officials this Thursday, July 11 at 11 a.m. in front of his Boro Park district office to announce a public awareness campaign to reduce the amount of litter and trash on neighborhood streets, especially major commercial avenues. Councilman Greenfield, Commissioner Doherty and other elected officials and community leaders including Senator Simcha Felder, Assemblyman Dov Hikind, Assemblyman James Brennan, Councilman Brad Lander and Community Board 12 Chairman Yidel Perlstein are expected to attend the outreach event to discuss ways to improve the cleanliness of local streets and help spread the word to residents and businesses about their responsibility in keeping the area clean and trash-free.
