A slow moving frontal system will bring isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms to NYC on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and evening. While widespread flooding is not expected, localized urban and flash flooding is possible if thunderstorms train over the same area repeatedly. Gusty winds are also possible in any thunderstorm. There is a slight risk of severe weather. Total rainfall will be between several tenths of an inch and one inch except in areas where thunderstorms develop where higher amounts are expected.
