This isn’t an isolated incident. I was recently asked in Beit shemesh if “this child is yours” – the kid was maybe 18 months old. Eventually the mother came along, in no particular hurry, to claim the child – and she thought it was funny. If I ever find a child wandering alone I will call the police. The babysitter needs to be held accountable, but I ask… how old is she? 7 ??? Round here, that’s very common.
