Mahmud Katusa, the Palestinian who was jailed, and later released in the case of a 7-year-old chareidi girl who was brutally attacked, is now suing Israel Police for his wrongful arrest, News13 reported.
Katusa’s attorney labels his client “the Palestinian Dreyfus”, explaining one of the reasons they decided on the lawsuit is that he was released and the indictment against him was canceled. He is suing for wrongful arrest.
Police report that while Katusa has not been cleared totally, the investigation hit a stone wall and they do not have a clue as to the assailant in the case.
Qadusa was employed in the school in the Binyamin Regional Council as a janitor for many years, allegedly took the girl from school to his home and police were certain he was the assailant. When he presented a solid alibi, and the prosecutor realized there were too many holes in the case, he was released and the case against him was dropped.
