A 6-year-old chareidi boy was stabbed in a Rehovot park on Mafu Street by a man on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

EMS responded to the scene and treated the child, transporting him to Kaplan Hospital in the city. He was listed in moderate condition at the time of transport. An eyewitness reported that it appears a man stabbed the child and fled the scene.

Police are investigating. At present, the motive for the attack is not known.

Adel Gaziel, an EMT with United Hatzalah, reports that when she arrived on the scene, she found the boy with wounds to his upper torso.
