Lawmakers have decided to expedite processing the bill to draft bnei yeshivos into the IDF. After the bill to draft bnei yeshivos was completed and approved by the Peri Ministerial Committee it is moving along to the cabinet for approval. It appears the bill will be on the agenda for this coming Sunday’s meeting, 29 Tammuz 5773.

From the cabinet it will move to the Ministerial Legislative Committee and it is expected to be on the Knesset agenda for a vote on Monday, Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av 5773.

The bill is expected to pass its first reading and the coalition plans to expedite the second and third votes to make certain the bill is passed into law before the summer recess.
