Tiveria Mayor Ron Kobi, who founded the ‘Secular Right’ party and attacks chareidim on a regular basis, now expresses admiration for the “faith and love of the religious Zionists”.
Speaking with Srugim News, Kobi, who is infamous among chareidim for turning Tiveria into a secular city, and for attacking the chareidi sector, now emphasizes his “closeness” to the dati leumi community: “I have a lot of friends that I very much appreciate their faith, the love of the land they have, and their ability to come and enlist for the state. I have a lot of friends among me, senior officers, people whom I admire.”
Regarding his party lineup and if there will be members of the kippa sruga community on it: “There will be surprises,” and hints at the possibility that a religious figure will appear in his party.
“I’m a right-wing man. I do not want to give any territory from Israel – it will not happen”, states Kobi, who continues his campaign against Avigdor Lieberman, even though they both speak out harshly against the chareidi public.
“The difference between us is one,” says Kobi, “Lieberman is a cardboard tiger, I have said this a few times, someone who has been in politics for 20 years and has not done anything and has not left a mark until now, and only talks and says that within 48 hours he will remove Haniyeh and all sorts of nonsense”.
Kobi then speaks of the connection between the interior minister and Yisrael Beitenu: “He is a friend of Aryeh Deri. He coordinated with him in everything. In many things, in the previous campaign in 2013, he helped Aryeh Deri in Tiveria. This person is not credible in my eyes.”

KOBI is a mental case and a Jewish anti Semite. His supposed pro Dati Leumi is FAKE! No Dati is for Chilul Shabbos by a city especially as in Tveria was not publicly Mechalall Shabbos. Last week, it seemed that Ministry of Interior was dismissing him as a Mayor including the the city .Shame on KOBI!
