Three cars had their tires stolen in Country Side Acres in Monticello, and were found placed on logs, Friday night.

Sources tell YWN Catskills that the owners of three vehicles were shocked to find their cars after Shabbos missing all their tires. The cars had been parked in the parking lot of Country Side Acres (formerly known as Sims Bungalows) on Old Liberty Road before Shabbos. Sometime Friday night a group of men entered the parking lot in a vehicle, and proceeded to remove the expensive tires. They placed logs under the car to hold it up.

One vehicle was an Acura, and we have not been able to confirm what the other two vehicle types were. One of them was an SUV, and the window was smashed, and the key to unlock the tires removed from the glove-compartment.

This is the third summer in a row where the same type of crime was committed at Countryside Acres.

Thankfully, good surveillance footage was captured, and the tape has been handed over to the Sullivan County Sheriff Department, who is investigating the incident.
