Senior Israel Police investigators on Friday will question Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in his Jerusalem residence under caution, meaning the possibility of an indictment is increasingly likely.
Police tried keeping the questioning quiet, but the news was released in a Thursday night Channel 2 TV News report. Police made a special request to Attorney General Menachem Mazuz to question the prime minister.
While there is a veil of secrecy surrounding the questioning, some unconfirmed reports point to one of the ongoing investigations against the prime minister, citing he is alleged to have accepted large sums of money.
