A new Knesset poll that takes into account Ehud Barak’s new party shows that there is a chance that it will become a key player – At the top: Likud and Blue and White.
Shortly after former Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s announcement of his return to politics and the establishment of a new party to run in the upcoming elections, a Knesset poll published by News13 reveals that the Likud is weakening while Blue and White is also losing ground.
According to the poll, if the elections were held today when Barak’s party is running, the Likud and Blue and White would receive 32 mandates each. According to the poll, the third largest party is the joint Arab list, which is returning to a double-digit number and receiving 12 seats.
Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu party is getting weaker, earning 7 seats, as two Knesset seats apparently went to Barak’s party.
And the question: How many mandates is the party of Ehud Barak and Yair Golan worth? According to the survey, the two generals bring 6 mandates that may constitute a balance sheet before the next government is formed.
The poll also shows that the chareidi parties; Shas and Yahadut Hatorah are slightly weaker and receive 6 seats each, compared to 8 in the last poll, while Meretz is also gaining with 6 seats, the Labor Party 5 seats, and the URWP down to 4 seats. Naftali Bennett and his New Right party with 4 seats and Moshe Feiglin’s Zehut party fails to meet the minimum to enter Knesset.
