L’Asurim’s crime prevention department has sent out SMS and email blasts over the last 24 hours to make drivers aware of a valuable service designed to help avoid problems with law enforcement officers during summer’s busy driving months.

Over the years, L’Asurim had been involved with handling dozens of arrest cases due to license suspensions that were unbeknownst to the vehicle drivers. So to protect everyday road farers, L’Asurim is providing a direct phone number to the NYS DMV office for driver’s license status. By simply dialing 518-474-0841 between the hours of 8am and 4 pm, callers are connected to a live DMV agent that can advise them of their license status, as well as help them make wise decisions to avoid trouble with law.

Last year, by spreading this information across the Jewish community, L’Asurim has saved many tens of people from a woeful run-in with driver’s arrest.
