HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita announced on Wednesday morning ,18 Tammuz 5773 that he endorses Modi’in Chief Rabbi David Lau in his bid to become the next Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel. The decision instructs Degel Hatorah to stand behind Rav Lau, a son of Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau Shlita.
The Gadol Hador’s decision comes after it was decided that Migdal HaEmek Chief Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Grossman would not enter the race, honoring the wishes of his late father zt”l.
It should be pointed out that Yahadut Hatorah has 23 votes in the body of 150 that will elect the new chief rabbis.

hatzlacah, hope he gets in, not because he is worthy of the job, but because he got a brocho from the godol hador
About 15% voting power….not sure that will make it.
Personally, he’s too young & inexperienced for the job. You need a gavrah….to deal in this role.
He is the most worthy of all the candidates. Hatzlacha rabba.
