Border Police Nab Firebombers After IED Explodes Near Border Police HQ In Abu Dis


Border police announced on Sunday that they apprehended two suspects allegedly responsible for rock-throwing and firebomb attacks in the Abu Dis area in the Binyamin region.

On Friday evening, an IED was hurled at the border police headquarters in Abu Dis. The device blew up near the building. B’chasdei Hashem, there were no fatalities or injuries, and there were no reports of damage.

After the IED exploded, border police began combing the area for the suspects. Dozens of PA (Palestinian Authority) residents began attacking them with rocks and firebombs. The determined border police were successful in arresting two persons, ages 16 and 17, who were hurling rocks and firebombs at them.

During questioning, border police learned the two were working to monitor the headquarters and gather intelligence information.
