A groundskeeper operating heavy equipment may have helped cause the explosion at Nyack College three weeks ago, according to officials.
Investigators are looking into a college groundskeeper who was doing work at the blast site during the morning of June 4. They say he was using some kind of excavation equipment when he may have hit a pipe, causing the gas leak.
No charges or tickets have been issued at this point as the investigation continues.
Eight people were hurt in the explosion.
