The Ministry of Energy is allocating NIS 1 million for the establishment of 100 quick charge stations for electric vehicles in the city.
The Ministry of Energy published on Sunday, June 16, 2019, the winners of tenders for the establishment of charging stations for electric vehicles. According to the report, 33 local authorities, from the south of the country to the north, submitted a request and won a tender for the establishment of regular charging stations (AC) in the municipal-public space for local authorities (sidewalks, parking lots, etc.).
This is a total of 731 charging outlets nationwide, with the support of the Ministry and total grants of NIS 7 million. Jerusalem received a grant of NIS 1 million for the construction of 100 charging stations.
Among the sites in which the companies will establish charging stations in Jerusalem are Cinema City, the Ramot shopping mall, the Karta parking lot, Malcha Mall, Talpiot Mall, the Central Bus Station and more. It is expected that these stations will be established by mid-2020.

Ugh, typical stupid, silly Israelis, blowing a good size chunk of cash to project an image of being modern, progressive, and with the times, when there are maybe 7 cars in Jlem that need to be charged. So typical,m so stupid, such a gross mismanagement of funds just for the optics. Fools.
