Once again, there is a report of Chilul Shabbos in the city of Bnei Brak, this time at a construction site on the outskirts of the city, in an area intended for ‘price for occupant’ affordable housing.
The chareidi residents of the Kiryat Herzog neighborhood in Bnei Brak were astonished to learn about the construction that took place this past Shabbos afternoon, around 4:30PM, work towards preparing the area for the planned construction near the ‘Yisrabiton’ Company behind Ganchovski and Avramski Streets.
The area is planned for affordable housing within the framework of the “price per occupant” lottery, in an area located next to railway tracks.
As was reported in the past, there were protests in the Torah city when there was Chilul Shabbos in connection to the construction of the light rail. Now, it appears there may be another Chilul Shabbos arena in the city.
One of the rabbis of Mishmeret Shabbos is quoted telling Kikar Shabbos News “this Shabbos, we will go out and see if we are actually working on Shabbos and if it occurs again, we will demonstrate with all our might. It’s no longer the light train and it will be far more serious if we learn it involves Jews. We will be there this coming Shabbos”.
