Ichud Hatzalah reports that in less than two weeks, six children in Yerushalayim have been treated after falling from a significant height. Some of the children sustained moderate and serious injuries.
According to the report, a 7-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries after falling in a talmid torah. On Yechezkel Street, close to the end of Shabbos, another 7-year-old fell from about three meters, sustaining a head injury. A 5-year-old fell on Thursday 12 Tammuz 5773 from a fourth story, sustaining moderate injuries. On Tuesday, 10 Tammuz, a child fell from a 6-year-old boy fell from the top of a parking structure and sustained a serious head injury. There are other cases in the capital as well.
Ichud (United) Hatzalah urges parents and caretakers to be extra vigilant during the summer vacation months to watch the children and to do their utmost to ensure their playing environment is free of serious hazards.
