Indictment Filed Against Teens For Robbing A Ramat Shlomo Supermarket

The Jerusalem district prosecutor filed criminal indictments in the Jerusalem District Juvenile Court against two youths, ages 17 and 19, for allegedly robbing a Ramat Shlomo supermarket in the city. In addition, they face charges of interfering with a police investigation, making threats against others and extortion.

According to the indictment, which was filed by Jerusalem Deputy Prosecutor Shai Etzion, one of the suspects decided to rob the “Yakobi Brothers” supermarket in the chareidi area of the city, Ramat Shlomo, taking revenge for being fired from the store’s employ.

On June 3, 2019, the suspected entered the supermarket with motorcycle helmets over their heads and approached the checkout. They sprayed the employee with pepper spray and opened the cash register and emptied it, then making their way to the store’s safe where there was cash and documents. They also sprayed the store manager with pepper spray. They made off with NIS 6000 in cash.

About an hour following the robbery, they were apprehended near the central bus station. The minor fled the scene and later phoned the store owner and threatened him. He was eventually taken into custody.

  1. Again you are reporting on charedei youth. It causes people to hate religious people, especially when you point out that they are chareidim. This causes a major chilul Hashem. Usually only secular papers publish things like this.
