Bike4Kef 2019 took place last Sunday-Monday in the UK – a sponsored bike ride for Kef – a charity offering respite and support to children and young adults with special needs across the UK.

190 riders took part, 3 of them with additional needs, and raised over £625,000 for this amazing charity.

Riders joined from all over the UK, Antwerp and one rider even joined from Lakewood!!

The two-day event included a fantastic afternoon of water sports, a gala dinner at which riders managed to reach – and surpass – the £600,000 target with the encouragement of £4£ matching from the London community – and then the ride itself! Participants chose either a 100km or 100 mile route and rode through the beautiful English countryside, arriving in Hendon Park in North West London to be greeted by their families and the families of Kef.

The atmosphere throughout was magical and the feeling of achdus and goodwill that permeated the entire event was memorable. Riders – and future sign-ups – are eagerly awaiting next year’s ride!
