Jerusalem district firefighters were summoned to a blaze on Sunday night on the border of the northern neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev, between the Jewish neighborhood and the adjacent Shuafat refugee camp.
According to police reports, firebombs hurled along Eliyahu Meridor Street caused the fire.
KAN News added the firemen were targeted by at least one firebomb as they were combating the blaze.
B’chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries reported and they succeeded in bringing the fire under control.
Police and fire inspectors are probing many of the fires which occurred last weekend. Authorities believe some of the 1023 fires that firefighters battled were the result of arson, possibly Arab terror.
Israel received assistance from Cyprus, Croatia, Italy, Greece and Egypt, with the countries sending firefighting planes during the crisis.
