A rider of an electric bicycle who was riding on the light rail tracks against regulations, collided with a light rail train on Yekutiel Adam Street in the northern capital.

As a result of the collision, the rider, a man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and listed in moderate condition – having sustained a head injury.

The accident also resulted in an interruption in light rail service until police gave the green light to resume service along the entire route.
