Firefighters battled a house fire at 1572 East 15th St. Monday afternoon.’

Emergency crews say they were called to the scene of a two-alarm fire just before 3 p.m. at a three-story building.

The fire was placed under control by responding units at 3:46pm.

Officials say the fire started in the basement and extended to the first floor of the building. One civilian was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
