A one-year-old girl from a Chareidi family sustained very serious injury on Sunday when a heavy mirror fell on her in her family home in Ofakim, in southern Israel. The child was transported to the trauma unit of Be’er Sheva’s Soroka Medical Center, where she was reported in serious condition in an intensive care unit.

United Hatzalah EMS personnel operated on the scene along with paramedics from Magen David Adom.

United Hatzalah EMT Yossi Dvir reported “Together with other responders and paramedics, we performed CPR and she was transported to Soroka in Be’er Sheva listed in serious condition”.

Soroka spokeswoman Yasmin Amos stated the child was injured by a falling heavy object and she remains in serious condition, intubated and sedated in an intensive care unit.
