A criminal indictment has been handed down against one of the suspects in the hit-and-run which occurred on Golda Meir Blvd in Jerusalem during Chol Hamoed Pesach.
The police investigation began immediately following the accident, which left an 11-year-old boy in critical condition, leading to the arrest of a 23-year-old who allegedly fled the scene. He was arrested about a week after the accident, which left Chaim Binyomin ben Shoshana Raizel fighting for his life.
Police investigators gathered evidence pertaining to the accident, and during the questioning of the suspect, police became increasingly confident they have the right man in custody.
The investigation involving a second suspect, in his 20s, continues at this time. He was remanded again on Sunday, May 26 at which time police asked to extend his detention.
