At least half his stuff was tongue in cheek , his halachic “lifnei ivers” were no different then threads where people are bashing other peoples’ halachic presentations with THEIR rabbonim vs. the other side with THEIRS….. in a CR mind you, not in beit midrash. Plenty of bashing and lashon hara especially on some long threads, so let’s not take a holier than thou attitude, myself included.
His main issue, I think, was sometimes being nasty for no apparent reason when debating halacha which should be a logical debate instead of a fight…
