The stars are arriving and the notables will be taking up position to give honor to Israel’s president, Shimon Peres, on his 90th birthday. The keynote speaker at the gala event will be former US President Bill Clinton. The President’s Conference will get underway on Tuesday, 10 Tammuz 5773, and special tribute will be paid to Mr. Peres.
Other notables scheduled to address the conference include Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Mr. Peres himself. Mr. Clinton will give his address on Monday night in the Peres Center in Rehovot, at 20:00. Israeli performers Shlomo Artzi and Eyal Golan will be among the performers, as will be Barbara Streisand.
Some of the invited world leaders unable to attend send their brachos to President Peres, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former President Mikhail Gorbachev, French President Francois Hollande, Russian President Vladimir Putin and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.
The assembly’s cost is 11 million NIS , Yediot Achronot reports, adding the delegates and guests will be renting 1,500 hotel rooms in seven hotels; bringing a total of 5,000 people from around the world. There will be a total of 100 speeches. Among the participants will be 24 winners of the Nobel Prize, Emmy, Grammy and Oscar Awards.
No less than 170 blogs will be monitoring and reporting on the conference and a team of 400 people will make certain the VIP event passes without a hitch.

And let me add my blessings to the cadre: Shimon Peres, there are few people in Jewish history who have brought as much harm to the jewish people as yourself. Your accursed Oslo accords have resulted in the deaths of thousands of Israelis, brought about the establishment of a terrorist state, caused the moral of the Israeli army to drastically drop, resulting in its first ever military defeat in the 2nd Lebanon war, brought missiles on Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and the list goes on.
You are deserving of no public celebration for all the harm you have caused.
