Police say a 17-year-old has been arrested after the stray-bullet wounding of a 9-year-old in the Bronx.

The girl was hit in the stomach Friday night when a gunman riding a bicycle sprayed a Kingsbridge street with bullets.

Investigators believe he was firing at someone else.

The child was hospitalized in stable condition.

The teen, Billie James of the Bronx, faces charges of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and illegal weapon possession.

The name of his attorney was not immediately known.
