A paraglider was moderately injured after his glider crashed near Havat Ronit located near Shefayim on the coast of Israel. The glider crashed in an open field used for agriculture.
United Hatzalah volunteer Michael Tzweig who was one of the first responders on the scene and treated the injured paraglider told YWN that “Together with other volunteers from United Hatzalah I treated the injured man. We were told that he had been injured while attempting to take off. He suffered an open fracture in one of his limbs and was listed as being in moderate condition. Following our initial treatment, the man was transported to the hospital.”
