Police have arrested two Jewish youths on suspicion of assaulting an Arab taxi driver in Yerushalayim earlier in June. The youths allegedly attacked the Beit Tzefafa resident in his cab in the Gilo neighborhood of the southern capital. He was injured lightly, as was reported by YWN-ISRAEL. Police believed there was a good likelihood the attack was a hate crime.
The suspects are minors, both residents of the capital. They insist their motive was robbery and the attack was in no way a hate crime.
