There can be no doubt that the race for new Chief Rabbis of Israel is well underway. This was evident on Monday night, the eve of 3 Tammuz 5773, the 19th yahrzeit of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneershon, the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT”L.

Among the prominent guests seated at the main farbregen in Kfar Chabad were Rabbi David Stav, Rabbi Eliezer Igra, Rabbi David Lau and Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, all candidates in the race for the new chief rabbis.
