Once Again, A Cell Phone Leads to a Serious Fire in Israel [PHOTOS]


A fire broke out Thursday morning in an apartment on Giora Street in Kiryat Bialik, during which heavy damage was caused. B’chasdei Hashem, due to the rapid and professional response of firefighters from the Haifa district, there was no loss of human life. Occupants of the residential structure were evacuated without incident.

Fire inspectors have reported that a cell phone plugged into a charged and left unattended was the cause of the fire, which they explain is seen all too often. The battery in the phone led to the fire officials explain.

In the wake of yet another fire caused by a charger, the Israel Fire & Rescue Service calls on the public to use only original batteries and chargers, not cheap substitutes that do not necessarily meet the standard requirements and have already caused fires in the past many times. In addition, all types of electrical appliances should not be left unattended.
