We are people of the book figuratively and literally. Throughout history we always used seforim versus technology. Lets say you go away for Shabbos. You can’t use the Artscroll app on Shabbos. The shul that you are davening at that Shabbos has no Artscroll Gemaras. What are you going to do? The answer is, that in the future, use a physical artscroll gemara. Use the Artscroll app as a back up plan whether its on your itouch, iphone, and iPad, when you forget your Gemara.
