Police responding to a call of vandalism in Jerusalem’s Meah Shearim neighborhood were attacked. A police vehicle on Thursday morning, 28 Sivan 5773, was surrounded and attacked by hoodlums pelting them with rocks. They smashed at least one window of the police vehicle. The window of another vehicle was also smashed. Baruch Hashem no injuries are reported.
Police report they received a call from a woman reporting her vehicle and property were damaged. They were responding to take a report when they were attacked. No arrests were made.
It appears the scuffle which led to calling police began when the car that was damaged was attacked. Those attacking it felt the females from the Beis Yisrael area were compromising the community’s modesty standards. That was followed by fish oil thrown at a member of the Vaad Tznius. The females summoned police to report the damage to their vehicle. It appears Vaad Tznius members also placed a sign on the vehicle which said “והיה מחניך קדוש”.
Neighbors explained the females live in a rented apartment together and they are known for living a lifestyle that is not in line with area standards.

I don’t understand why the cops come into Meah Shearim, knowing that Meah Shearim has the lowest crime rate in the State of Israel and that they are unwanted there.

1. Where were pictures of the women in question, so we can decide if they were truely naked? Were these hilonim women dressed for Tel Aviv, or seminary types dressed for Boro Park?
2. Wait until the police start rounding students for learning in yeshiva rather than schechting Arabs. It doesn’t matter if the gedolim want non-violent protests (the gedolim also don’t approve of attacking the police, or engaging in violence against not frum enough women), the hooligans will not limit themselves to throwing rocks at police cars.
Let them protect themselves. Maybe they’ll join the IDF to learn how, lol.
