Former head of the radical left-wing Meretz Party MK Dr. Yossi Beilin is calling on government officials to order United Nations Ambassador Dan Gillerman back home.

Beilin was reacting to statements released by Gillerman, who labeled former US President Jimmy Carter a “racist,” adding that following Carter’s meeting with Hamas leader Khaled Meshal, “his hands are contaminated with blood”.

Beilin stated that a high-ranking member of Israel’s diplomatic corps does not have the right to make such accusing and irresponsible statements in reference to a former American president.
