A number of mortar shells fired from northern Hamas-controlled Gaza landed near the Sufah Crossing shortly after 9am Friday morning. There were no reports of injuries.

A number of Kassam rockets landed in the Ashkelon cemetery earlier in the day resulting in extensive damage to tombstones.

Yet earlier in the day, four Kassam rockets landed south of Ashkelon. There were no injuries reported in that wave of rockets. The al-Quds faction of the Islamic Jihad boasted responsibility for the Kassam rockets.
