What should someone do if he forgot to cancel his automatic monthly shipment of chometz products from Amazon (Subscribe & Save) and he receives the delivery on Pesach?
Should he reject the package from UPS (or whomever)? If it was already delivered by the post office, should he put it back in the mailbox/PO unopened, as refused? If FedEx dropped it in front of his house should he bring it in? If the carrier refuses to accept a return without an authorized return label from Amazon, what should he do?
If your credit card is charged it may already belong to you.

Let this thread serve as a reminder: check your Subscribe and Save orders, and postpone any chometz shipments until after Pesach.
Does selling your chometz and/or nullifying it cover this situation?

@dovidbt I would think that it would depend on the date of the actual payment being charged to the credit card. If the transaction occurred before the chametz was sold and it was only the shipment that ocurred during pesach then I assume you would be right
dovidbt: this is why I think the question is for a Rov. The sale and the nullifying is only for what you have on erev pesach. You cant sell something you dont own yet.

According to the Minchas Chen on the Haggadah you make the rav a poal (worker) for you by paying him, so you can sell chametz which was bought after the mechirah.

Joseph isn’t looking for a psak. The story isn’t real, it Pesach is still a few days away. It is just an interesting discussion .

Metaltelin are not aquired by kesef so the fact that it was paid for is irrelevant (even assuming credit card counts as “kesef”)
Are you koneh it if your dog brought the package in from the front porch?
It all depends on when a kinyan was made. I think even if it was left on your porch, you need to have daas to be koneh. I think you may just have to leave it there or even take it off your property until after yom tov. (I think it needs to be in a place that’s not meshumar.) If it’s still there after yom tov, you can keep it.

If you receive it in Pesach you need to discard it. You are not allowed to return for credit. Since you are not allowed to have hanoah on chinetz sheover ole pesach
Are you allowed to return or sell the chametz and burn the money?
But since a chashuvah yid like Joseph presumably was at some fancy resort for yom tov and doesn’t get home until motzi yom tov, isn’t the real shaylah as to whether the Amazon delivery on his front doorstep has become some variation of chametz she’avar alav hapesach??
