We have a lot of decisions to make. At the same time that were deciding on a mesivta for our son we are also figuring out camp for our daughter. Our daughter is in 6th grade and is very excited to go to sleep away camp for the first time. Her three best friends are all going to a new camp, opening for the first time this summer and Baruch Hashem our daughter was accepted there as well. However we are very nervous to send her to a new camp since we like places with more experience. My wife’s sister works in a different well established camp. When my wife told her our worries about the new camp she told us that she can get our daughter into the camp she works in. Plus she has a daughter, our daughter’s age. Now we have a big dilemma. Which camp should we send pur daughter to?
My oldest daughter went to what was a “new” camp (its first year), Camp Bnos Maarava and we were so pleased we continued our affiliation with them wit her and our two younger daughters for another 15 years. If my daughters would have the time during the summer they would go for a week or two.
So going to a new camp does work out.
