The Zohar teaches that “A tzadik who departs is to be found in all worlds more than in his life-time.”
Famed Chassidic Master, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, founder of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, notes that this includes the physical world. The tzadik’s departure, that is, relates only to the direct experience of him through our empirical senses. We no longer see his loving smile, hear his holy word, kiss his blessed hand. But the Tzadik’s impact on the terrestrial world and on those who flock to his hallowed resting place is greater than during his life time.
In the two and a half decades since the hilula of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, numerous individuals around the globe have had their lives touched by the Rebbe in extraordinary ways. Founded by Rabbis Yitzchok Raskin of Machon Stam and Mendel Meyers of Mendel Meyers Studios, RebbeStory.org aims to share these experiences with you, your friends, your family, and your world.
In addition to serving as an inspiration toward spiritual growth and commitment, the telling of these stories will greatly hasten the coming of Moshiach, for, as noted by the Rebbe in a profound talk in 1992, sharing with the world the miracles Hashem performs through the righteous profoundly increases Hashem’s glory and inspires Him to bestow His Presence upon us in an age of perfection and peace.
