A person was bitten by a poisonous snake at the Rockland County Park, in what oficals are calling a rare incident.

The man, who is reportedly a groundskeper at the park, was mowing the lawn when he was bitten by a copperhead snake near the pool area in High Tor State Park in New City

He is in stable condition at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx.

Poisonous snake bites in the Rockland area are relatively rare, but a dog was reportedly bitten by a poisonous snake in the same park just a few weeks ago.
