INN: Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger visited Sderot hunger strikers Thursday afternoon and asked them to stop their strike during the Sabbath. They are protesting the inability of the government and military to stop Kassam rocket attacks on the Negev city.

Arab terrorists attacked Sderot with rockets several times on Thursday and two rockets landed near the tent of the protesters, two of whom were treated at the scene after they fainted. One person was injured in another rocket attack in the city.
