During a Wednesday meeting between Otzma Yehudi candidate Itamar Ben-Gvir and chareidi activists, the matter of how chareidim are treated by the state and police was discussed.

“You must not forget,” Ben-Gvir told them. “For the past few years I have helped in many chareidi cases and stood hand in hand with them. I was the one who fought for the detainees of Hafganos, when I felt that I knew that they had been wronged only because they are chareidi and they are a minority. I was the one who got them compensation worth hundreds of thousands of shekels from policemen who beat chareidim at demonstrations, and I shouted at the time that Israel Police should understand that the blood of the chareidim is not hefker, and those who hurt them will bear the consequences.”

“It was advertised on sites everywhere. It was not only once and twice that the chareidim won cases of false arrest that the police had plotted against them, and I brought 100% success in the cases I led, because one thing must be remembered: There is a clear cultural war here about the character of the state, We think with the same mind and work hard to help the chareidi public, “declared Ben Gvir.

“The time has come to teach the High Court and police that they are not the boss here, and they cannot do as they please at the expense of the public. This is exactly why I am here. I have clearly proven my success outside the Knesset against police and the High Court, and certainly B’ezras Hashem, inside Knesset. We will lead a major revolution and return the power from the elite back to the people because the people decide here, not a small number who have taken control of us without our choosing them,” Ben-Gvir concluded.
