Firefighters in Yerushalayim on Shabbos had to contend with five fires in the Armon HaNatziv area of the northeastern capital. The first blaze was in a private garden and shortly thereafter, firefighters received additional calls for fires in nearby brush and the general area. Fire investigators believe the fires were arson attacks.
Security officials have recently released a report citing that Arson has become part of the Arab terrorism arsenal against Israel, particularly in Yerushalayim.
That report cites two favorite locations for the arson attacks, Armon HaNatziv and the Ofarit Base in the Mount Scopus area of the capital.
